Welcome to Manna Food Pantry!

It is our goal to provide supplemental food assistance to your household in a caring and respectful manner. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improvement in our service to you.

We are open three Thursdays a month, offering food that we obtain through donations. The following information and rules have been created to help us continue to operate as consistently and efficiently as possible.

When you visit, you will be assigned a Shopping Assistant who will take you (with a cart) around the Fellowship Hall so you can choose what items you will be able to use.

  • We are a supplemental food pantry. People who register with Manna and schedule appointments can receive food once a month – Call 717-602-5835
  • We serve zip codes 17101, 17102, 17103, 17104, 17109, and 17110. If you live in other zip codes, we will provide you with contact information we have for pantries serving your community.
  • Please do not arrive for your appointment 15 minutes before or after your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive after 7:40 p.m., we may no longer be available to serve you that night.
  • Bring your own reusable bags.
  • The amount of time before serving may vary. Please be patient and follow the instructions of the assistants for everyone’s safety.
  • If you do not show up for your appointment, please call or text Manna as soon as possible. If you miss your appointment, another appointment may not be available until the following month. If you miss your appointments three times in a row without prior notice, Manna will not see you.
  • Volunteers with Manna’s cell phone may not be able to immediately answer when you call or text. If you leave a voicemail or send a text message, they will contact you as soon as they possibly can. If you call and do not leave a voicemail, we may not be able to call you back. On Thursday, we have less chances to respond as we are preparing to distribute food that night.
  • If you are making an appointment for more than your household, know the other person’s first and last name. If that person has never attended Manna, have their zip code and the number of people in that household. If that person does not show up for the appointment, you will not be able to make another appointment for that household; they will have to call and make their own appointment.
  • If you bring someone from another household who does not have an appointment with you to your appointment, we may not be able to serve them that night. New clients are expected to call for appointments.
  •  We do not deliver food.
  • The Emergency Food option is available only to people who have never attended Manna, only 1 time in a calendar year.
