The Penbrook Learning Center of the Penbrook United Church of Christ is the primary mission of PUCC. Since 1985, it has served thousands of children from our community. Many of the PLC’s employees have worked there for many years. Our mission is to provide an early education facility that has a positive impact on our local community.
Manna Food Pantry
The Manna Food Pantry is a joint mission between the Penbrook United Church of Christ and The Penbrook Church of God. Manna serves those who need a helping hand in zip codes 17103, 17104 and 17109. Our pantry uses a “client choice” approach, where the clients select what they prefer from our well-stocked shelves. Currently, Manna is the only pantry in the Penbrook area that offers evening hours, Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Clients can schedule an appointment in advance and may shop at the pantry once a month.
The Power Pack program is for children ages 5 to 17. Kids in our service areas. Registered children may come to the
pantry every Thursday evening and receive a bag of nutritious food.
The Hershey Medical Center is on site at the Pantry numerous dates during each month. The Medical Center offers blood pressure testing, flu shots and other health awareness
procedure at no cost to who ever needs them.
